Busing is much less glamorous, but it better suits Omaha's existing infrastructure, lower population density, and is more adaptable to the city's changing environment.

Not to mention, when Omaha hosts the CWS for two weeks out of the year, buses could be re-routed to handle the increased traffic flow to reduce congestion whereas streetcars are bound to the tracks.

Over time, once bus route have been established and the economy has improved, plans for streetcars on the most popular bus routes can be discussed.

Edit: Expanded bike trails and bike lanes to bus routes could boost bus use as well!
