Tons of money is spent on school transportation. If students begin riding in high school, they will more likely continue the service. High schools are struggling with attendance issues that are often related to transportation. Some students live 2 1/2 to 3 miles from school and are not eligible for school transportation. Make the city bus more student friendly and accessible for students. Metropolitan Community College utilizes a similar program that offers free transportation to students in need.
